Marchand Phillipe

Phillipe Marchand attended the Academie des Beaux Arts in Paris during the early 1950s. During this time, he spent endless hours studying and copying the works of the Masters in the Louvre Museum. Unsatisfied with the limits of a singular artistic style, Marchand pushed through new avenues from classicism to abstraction. He gradually combined different influences of impressionistic and contemporary styles, while experimenting with the finer elements of form, color and texture. Through this transformation, Phillipe Marchand gradually emerged with his distinct style.
